HEARs to YOU!r Health with Jenifer Muhammad

I am not a health practitioner, a dietitian or involved in the medical field in any way.   My advice is from what I have experienced first hand.  I've learned that our bodies we've been "loaned," work alot like automobiles.  Just like cars and trucks, you have to pay attention to what's going on inside your body and not just the exterior.  We put on makeup, we shower, shave, get hair cuts, wear extensions...we look our best, but all the while our body is crashing' because we're not giving it what it needs at all.

We're smoking cigarettes, drinking soda and alcohol, eating' tons of sugar, not exercising and hardly sleeping. Trust me, I know alot about all of this cuz I lived it.  You get to a point where you're eating the wrong foods, then feel like crud, so we grab an energy drink or coffee, then crash all over again.  It's a constant cycle of "bad."  I've learned that after you've eaten all that sugar (table sugar and food that turns into sugar), you need to balance that with some kind of protein.  This doesn't mean eat a burger with the buns either.  You'll help your body keep from crashing by having a piece of chicken breast, maybe some broiled fish or even some eggs.  Also, if you've taken or are taking any pharmaceutical drugs, they're slowly seeping calcium, magnesium, iron and other stuff that you need to survive, out of your bones and body.  When you're depleted, you'll know it because you'll feel really sluggish and fatigued and trust me, that ain't fun.
Put some money aside for health whenever you have extra.  Invest in making yourself feel really good instead of just focusing on how you look on the outside and buying more clothes and shoes.  Health is the most important thing.  If you don't feel good, you can't work, you can't earn a living and you won't be happy.   Listen to your body, get a diagnostic and start putting things into it that it has to have, instead of what's killing it slowly.

HEARs to YOU!r Health with Jenifer Muhammad

You have nothing without your health. Even though I'm not a doctor or licensed to practice health in any way, I still feel obligated to share the little knowledge I have about things I've learned along the way. And no...I don't stand to gain anything by doing this.  I just know first hand what it's like to physically feel horrible, trust me.

Alot of us feel bad daily, but don't even think about it.  We eat whatever is clever and don't expect to have any ailments because of it.   Our stomachs need help. When you eat, you should be taking an enzyme. It'll help digest your food and keep you from being bloated after a meal. Probiotics are good for healing your stomach.. I take both of these and let me tell you..Wow, big difference.

Nutritional yeast is a good replacement for cheese and cheesy toppings. Sprinkle it on your movie popcorn, beans, soup, whatever. It has B vitamins and protein. No bloating later.  If you eat green leafy stuff, please stop overcooking it. Just blanch it in boiling water, maybe 7 minutes to keep the nutrients.

Drink water and hydrate with electrolytes..NOT SUGARY DRINKS. Some of you have allergies or food sensitivities, so do I. The cheap way to see what you're allergic to is to stop eating some of your faves for like a week. Then slowly add them back to your meals. You coughin'? Scratchin' your throat? Gassy? Ok, that's a sensitivity to that food. Once you heal your stomach, you start noticing allergies go away, your stomach is softer and flatter. Oh yeah, you gotta have daily..you know...bowel movements.

If you're going every other day, you need more fiber and water to help you get movin. Flax seed and even lemon squeezed into warm water is good for that. Take care of you. Prevent health issues. Don't wait till you have to be put in the hospital to be told you have to change. It ain't fun.

Let's go see what it's like to actually feel good and be healthy for real!  Peace, Love and Light beautiful people.

HEARs to YOU!r Health: A few health tips by Jenifer Muhammad

Peace, Love and Light      First, I just wanted to start by saying that by no means am I a Health Care Professional, Dietitian or any kind of Health advisor.  I have just had my own health challenges and I wanted to share some things I have learned along my long journey, headed to better health.  I have learned a lot of stuff from listening to radio shows, watching different programs and actually going to different health stores around the valley.  I had been put on a lot of pharmaceutical drugs and I learned that those things rob your body of stuff like magnesium, calcium, iron, vitamin d3 and a whole host of other things.  Hey, wait a minute, doesn’t my body need that stuff to function correctly?!  Yes it does!!  My heartbeat started getting a little odd, so from what I learned, I started taking Calcium Magnesium in either powder form or the liquid, in order to calm the heartbeat and calm myself overall.  I also have Leaky Gut.    I went to a natural doctor to learn that I had this.  What?!  I knew something was wrong with me.  Extreme fatigue, aches in my joints, allergies… it was all there, the symptoms.  I looked online and saw that you should start eating fermented foods to heal your GI(gastrointestinal) Tract like Sauerkraut, Kimchi, Tempeh (fermented tofu) and start taking Probiotics  to repair. Before and after you eat, you need to take a good enzyme too.   I had no idea, just like a lot of us don’t realize that a lot of the symptoms we have stem from our Gastrointestinal Tract being out of whack.  Scary!   You also have to get MOVING folks!  If you are like me and like a lot of television, try to start taking small walks that are like 10 minutes.  I had a blood clot last year and sitting idle barely moving will certainly contribute to me getting more.  Drink water too.  It’s a natural blood thinner.  You have to get your blood pumping basically.  If you just sit there you could possibly be creating an environment for blood clots.      I have gotten so much knowledge about a lot of things since I was faced with a lot of different health challenges.  My natural doctor told me that the issue has been building over the years and that it didn’t just start over night.  I have eaten my share of fried food, huge amounts of processed sugar and lots of salt most of my life.  Now, I am paying big time for those choices.  I just wanted to try and help other people because once you have your own health problems it really does scare you.  I mean really scare you.  So, find a good health store near you and a good natural doctor if you can and start caring about what you eat and changing your life.  The way you feel right now may not actually be the normal YOU.  It’s just that for so many years you have felt that way so it seems like it’s normal.  I wish you peace,  harmony and many years of way better health!
